PERSAN, a family business, leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of home care and personal care products is looking for a Category Manager – Raw Materials.
Surrounded by a team of high-performing professionals and reporting to the Global Procurement Manager, your mission will be: Secure multi-year uninterrupted supply of selected category materials in the factories at competitive cost and quality compliance. Prepare, lead and execute global strategic sourcing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
– Responsible for the sourcing of the portfolio entrusted, being specialist in the markets, providing Persan, S.A. with a competitive advantage and continuous improvement by minimizing spend through means such as:
- Competitive sourcing by means of negotiation and/or tenders.
- Introduction of new competitive suppliers.
- Value Engineering projects with suppliers.
- Set and execute suitable purchasing strategies.
- Perform internal and external analysis, generate local opportunity proposals and provide input into global opportunity assessment.
- Define and implement purchasing strategies and/or action plans by category and execute and/or supervise negotiations with suppliers about price, quality and delivery conditions of materials.
- Provide Persan with a competitive advantage by:
- Proposing challenging standard prices during the annual budgeting process, based on the most competitive estimations;
- Regular review and communication of risks and opportunities;
- Ensuring stability of supply by assessing supplier financial stability and volume capabilities;
- Actively monitor and communicate category insights and trends.
- Engage and influence stakeholders.

Minimum requirements:
- Academic education: Bachelor´s Degree in Business administration, Engineering or Economics.
- Language skills: English minimum solid B2, preferentially C1.
- 5 years in FMCG in a Procurement role.
- A proven track record of ensuring value for money.
